Studio Mayfly is the graphic design branch of The Loop Project, a creative, multidisciplinary environment and arts project.
Freelance designer Leanne Cordingley-Wright has worked as a graphic designer since 2002. She has worked with several high profile arts and environmental organisations throughout Powys, including the Wyeside Arts Centre, Willow Globe/Shakespeare Link, Powys Arts Forum, Powys Transition, Great Oak Foods and FSC.
Leanne attended Leeds college of Art and Design and then went on to train as a designer in Manchester where she led the opening of a design and print franchise. Through this she gained detailed knowledge of the design for print processes and built up strong experience in communicating with clients to ensure clear briefs are taken and met.
Since setting up her own design practice in Llanidloes in 2010, Leanne has worked as a freelance designer, which allows her to work closely with clients and to be directly involved in every stage of the design process from initial brief, ideas development to final realisation of a project.
With a background in psychology and sociology, Leanne has a particular interest in the way people communicate visually. She is agile and solution focused and takes care to ensure she fully understands the particular character and aims of her clients. Her attention to detail and love of modern classic design as well as her more unique, quirky and playful illustrative style mean she delivers distinctive designs.
Since 2015, alongside her graphic design practice Leanne has focused on developing her personal work, which explores the formation and presentation of identity. Formats include painting, collage and print. A selection of original painting and print are available online here, to see her full current body of work, please call to arrange a visit.
